My name is Donna Teresa New, I am married to my wonderful soul mate Paul, we have 3 children, Samantha now 19, Rebecca aged 15, and little Jordan David, who is just 5 years old.

We live in Andover in Hampshire and we love to see different parts of the country, so we take our touring caravan away all year round. I suppose caravans are a bit like marmite, you either love them, or hate them.

I came across reborning about 3 years ago by accident on eBay and was immediately drawn to finding out more, so for about 2 years I looked into and researched the process, techniques, suppliers and used the on-line tutorials.

Unlike most reborn artists I did not have a natural ability when it came to art and I had to learn by my mistakes and work very hard to get things perfect, but I found this a great challenge and like most artists, I learn something new with every baby I reborn.

I feel very strongly that we really can do anything if we put our minds to it, some of us may have to work harder to get there, but it is so worth it in the end.

I am now 44 years old and can honestly say that I would never want to be in my twenties life is great and my reborning hobby has actually given me a real sense of pleasure and satisfaction that I can pass on to others when they receive their new baby.

The Reborning Process

Firstly my babies have a lovely bubble bath to ensure they are nice and clean, then I am ready to start painting. Painting is done over a period of days and many layers are used to give the correct baby skin tone for each baby.

Baby's nails are lightly manicured which really gives realism as too does personal details like little birth marks and red eyes therefore making a crying baby.

To ensure your baby stays looking freshly painted she is then sealed with a matt sealer.

I use good quality fine mohair for rooting all my babies and this part of the reborning process can take a week or more to complete depending on the amount of hair each baby will have. When the hair is finished I then seal it on the inside so that the hair can be gently styled with a soft baby brush.

When reborning an open eyed little one I take great care in choosing the correct eye shade. Eyes are placed and glued in place and not forgetting little eyelashes and barley their eyebrows.

Baby is now ready to be weighted with soft baby fat and fibre fill , plastic polly pellets and fine glass sand. I do not use normal sand and with her custom made body she is lovingly put together.

Next is the choosing of the clothes. This again is special for each little one as the clothes have to suit and look as adorable as possible.

Every step of the reborning process I love and to see a little one when complete is such a buzz.

Each baby then goes by first class stork to their new mummy. I like to put little extras in as a surprise and include a care sheet and little birth certificate. Of course you can change her name, or I can leave it blank, if you would like to decide at a later date.

Layaway Plans

Layaway plans are available on all of my babies whether they are custom, or auction bought.

A deposit of £30 is required and then monthly payments for a period of between 2 and 4 months.

All layaway plans would be discussed between my self and the buyer beforehand.

A confirmation of this agreement will be sent to you probably via email detailing our arrangements. I would ask if you would also reply to my email with your acceptance of these terms.

Your baby will be sent to you by first class stork as soon as the final payment has cleared.

Custom Orders

If you would like a baby made and perhaps would like baby to look like your children, or grandchildren when they were small then this would be done with photos of your loved ones and I will find a sculpt that best suits. Of course you will be a part of every step, hair colour, open eyed or closed, clothes, dummy etc

Prices will differ from baby to baby depending on your requirements but these would be discussed and agreed in advance.

A deposit of £30 would be necessary and the final payment made on completion of your little one, payment must be cleared before baby is sent.

Photos of your baby will be sent to you for your approval before the final payment is made.

If you have chosen to use the Layaway plan for your custom baby then photos of your completed little one will be sent before your fist payment is made.

Of course like I said I will be in touch throughout the whole process so you are always updated on how your little one is doing.

Baby Hospital

Here at the hospital I can help your little ones.

Perhaps they need a new body or even a complete make over.

New hair can be done but it would depend on what hair is there already and the type of vinyl of the head .

Photos of the baby would be needed to first establish from an eye view what can be done.

Your little one would receive the best hospital service and lots of cuddles.

Prices would depend on the amount of work required and would be discussed and agreed in advance.
